In this video is share how I go about introducing and fitting the hackamore to a young horse. I cover how I tie my mecate, how I like the hackamore to fit, rein length, and exercises I do to introduce the mechanics of the hackamore. I will be riding a young horse typically for 2-3 years in the hackamore, so I feel it is critical to do the best job possible when introducing this piece of equipment to them.
