These marlin spikes are hand made by me in our shoeing forge.  These spikes are made from 1/4in round steel, drawn out on an anvil, pounded square, curled, twisted, and polished.  I have made these for myself for years now and wanted to offer three I made up for sale. These are great little multi tools and make some pretty sweet hat accessories! Due to the forging process, these are strong and durable tools! Traditionally, marlin spikes were used by sailors for knots but have countless applications.  We use ours for hydraulic hoses, punching holes in leather, tying latigos, and much more. Overall length on these is 6in.
